The Business Development Executive (ANZ) manages the sales process across Digital Alchemy’s core products and services offerings. These offerings include, but are not limited to, demand generation and conversion optimisation, strategy consulting, AI- and ML-enabled marketing technologies, analytics, CRM strategy and operations, marketing automation implementation and support, and database hosting and management.
Reporting to the Managing Director, Australia & New Zealand, you own the development and management of the sales pipeline by creating new business leads and opportunities, qualifying leads, developing first-rate RFP responses and pitch presentations, engaging marketing and technology leadership from the C-suite to the operating level, and developing proposals and pricing.
You establish strong relationships with marketing and technology leaders across multiple industries including Retail, Telco, Banking, Insurance, Wholesale and B2B, and Mobile Payments, as well as with strategic and technology partners that may collaborate with Digital Alchemy on joint engagements. You cover the market, attuned to shifting business dynamics, adept at conveying Digital Alchemy’s unique value proposition in handling complex data, and are skilled at uncovering the “business within the business” of our prospects.
You work collaboratively with internal Digital Alchemy clients (finance, legal, strategy, operations) to create winning responses to RFPs, draft SOWS, and ensure that client objectives, engagement strategies, and project economics are in alignment with business goals. You contribute to building a team and culture that values knowledge sharing, innovation, efficiency and effectiveness, and proactively identify opportunities for continual improvement.
In addition to achieving individual sales targets, it is expected that you may contribute to Digital Alchemy’s global portfolio strategy by identifying and vetting opportunities within the region (ANZ) that elevate Digital Alchemy’s market presence within and beyond APAC.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and possess 3-5 years of sales and marketing experience in a digital marketing agency or marketing services company.
Self-motivated and team-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to relate complex concepts with clarity and confidence. Expert in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Suite.
Practical understanding of CRM and loyalty, marketing automation technology (Salesforce, Adobe, SAS), database marketing, analytics, reporting, and business intelligence.

Revenue booked against individual goal.
Deal ROI, working towards reduced cost of acquisition across a portfolio of clients.
This role is based in our headquarters in Sydney, and may require periodic travel to prospect sites (20-50%). Remote working from major cities in Australia may be considered.
