To increase the number of leads/appointments/quotations within the company, and make a measurable sales contribution towards the overall growth and profitability.

Principle Objectives and Responsibilities including the following, other objectives may be assigned:


Achieve or exceed agreed volume of leads/appointments/quotations generated from marketing data lists and/or sales pipeline

Customer Contact

Ensure knowledge of company products, insurance providers and relevant regulatory compliance

Meet required volumes (KPI’s) and standards of calls

Meet required volumes and standards for returning phone calls

Maintain best standards with all clients

Assess and direct enquiries to relevant teams/individuals

Business Development

Identify and pursue cross-selling, up-selling and similar opportunities

Utilise all leads provided to you by the company and develop new and efficient ways to increase the quote volume

Run a prompt and efficient diary system, making sure all databases are kept updated

Communicate new and innovative ideas

Assist in training new staff as required by the business.


Selling Skills:
Ability to secure commitment from customers

Negotiation Skills:
Ability to persuade clients to speak to Sales Team and win business for the Department

Influencing Skills:
Ability to change listener’s opinion and create an opportunity to quote/sell

Self Management:
Ability to plan and execute agreed action with minimal supervision

Ability to adapt as required, when circumstances change

Ability to follow through a course of action to an agreed conclusion

Information Technology:
Ability to implement Company’s CRM policy using different IT solutions to best match clients needs

Activity Levels:
Ensure all opportunities are contacted within the time frame agreed with Sales Manager

Business Awareness:
The jobholder must understand how related areas operate and have an awareness of our key competitors.

Communicates ideas in a clear and concise manner to aid others’ understanding.

Understands and meets customer needs and expectations.

Self / Staff Development:
Takes responsibility for own development and shares knowledge and experience with colleagues. The jobholder continues to build their level of knowledge and skill by assessment and self development.

No Insurance knowledge with a view to developing

Skills Required

Conversing with clients over the telephone, data management, objection handling

IT skills

Outlook and all round PC skills including Excel and Open GI.
